Helping ECDs Become Registered

5/30/2016

As part of our early crime and violence prevention work, Umhlali is working with a number of early childhood development centres (ECD) in Walmer Township in order to improve the quality of the ECD services to children. One aspect of the ECD work is to assist them with formally registering with the Department of Social Development (DSD).  Being formally registered will allow them to access grants and other support services.

These photos are from the second in a series of workshops Umhlali is running with DSD with ECDs from Walmer Township. Many of the ECDs have begun the registration process support from Umhlali.
