The Umhlali Project

Building safer communities

Positive Masculinities

4/20/2016

Picture
Umhlali is busy working on developing an intervention framework in order to engage with boys and men regarding positive manhood. This will involve challenging values, attitudes and beliefs that enable gender bias, violence and discrimination, and also exploring and building on the positive ways in which men and boys can contribute to a safer community for all.

We have completed desktop research on best practices regarding engaging with men and boys and will be moving on to engaging with men and boys on their ideas, needs and interests.  We hope to have material ready for piloting later in 2016.
